Well I suppose that was deserved.
EDIT: Finished part.
Here's the rough mono of the cello and drums as I like them. I played a little from the Alesis DM5, Sony Playstation pads, Yamaha P80 keyboard and piano roll plotting. I express slightly differently across them, which is handy difference for a track coming up a bit fiddly.
And of course these aren't the best of pads. Real drums and new pads really make the fluid difference.

And here's how they spread, as I quite like the result myself:
Start - Alesis DM5,
0.05 - 0.07 - Keyboard MIDI mixed in,
0.20 - Playstation pads,
0.40 - Keyboard rhythm,
1.08 - Alesis again.
Then a few micro corrections and adjustments in piano roll saw me ready to bounce. Amazing today's technology.
Sounds quite nice solo and heavily limited:

My gear takes in the air.
I tapped the DD12s like congas for the finish but I replaced that with a more straightforward beat sat at the Alesis. I'm really getting to know these bits and bobs when I set a proper exercise.
Not bad for toys.
.....And I say that again.
