back in 'the day' you used to plug the 'puter in, slap a tape or disk in the proper hole, and away you went.
now.
bloody now !
now you have to hope that XP will boot and that all your 'puter bits are talking to all the other bits. 'graphics card - sound card - scsi card - ide expander card - modem - etc'
in the past all i had to worry about was if my heads were out of alignment .. now its if my heads even know what they are !
i am at the moment running a duel boot pc.
os 1 is windows xp on c: that will not let me go online.
os 2 is windows xp on e: that has no clue about all the software i have installed in the last 2 years (it was installed 3 days ago) but it lets me go online.
xp on c: has no 'admin'. and for some daft reason that no-one will tell me, i dont have access to some protocols. "access denied : code 5"
to quote a well known historian "go bollicks to yourself windows !"
oh, and "crap and poo to you too !"
(thats from some one you wont know)
why the hell cant i start 'remote access connection manager' in 'control panel - administrative tools - computer management - services and applications - services'
and why the smeg did that take so long to type ?

if anyone understood that ..
well done !
now answer the question :o)

Or get a C64, a CMD harddrive/SuperCPU/RAMLink, and Wheels/MegaPatch3.

Well, I don't have any choice. I'm a design/IT/Mac journalist, so I have to use both a Mac and PC every day for work...
