I grew up in the 80s with every computer including the C64. I have always had a passion for soundtracks and the thing that I always paid attention to was the music in those early games. How such amazing melodies could come from something now deemed primitive, but at the same time provided an incredible backdrop always stuck in my head. Composers like the amazing Rob Hubbard always inspired me with some wonderful melodies (Crazy Comets, Master of Magic, Monty Mole etc…) Also, having a brother who made games for the C64 was also incredible, though I used to hassle him a lot as a younger brother who was 7 years apart in age.

 

I am on a quest to maintain the authenticity of tracks and give them a contemporary update without losing the essence or the feel they carried from all thopse years ago. It is important to give newer generations an idea of how much we used our imaginations back in the day, using state of the art synapses to conjur incredible worlds and soundscapes as we heard them back then.
