I never had the pleasure to work with a real C64 but (as so many others) got an Amiga 500 at some point in my life when I convinced my mother (Yes I can use it for school! *Nodnod ^_^) to buy it… As soon as I was done with the games (I loved Turrican 2) I looked indeed for other stuff you can do with the machine instead of playing and so got introduced to multimedia home productions (which we all know under the term Demos). I was very enchanted by the great images done on Deluxe Paint and the 4 channel sound it produced. I did not know many other people interested in this, so it was relatively late (midninties) when I discovered a 3.5
floppy with a certain program that went by the name Protracker
. Soon after I got an cheap sampling unit for the amiga in a used hardware store and I produced music just for fun. It could not hold up with the lot of what popular people released but it was fun to make and I got a great ammount of joy just by playing around with samples.
Nowadays I more draw but still play around with music sometimes, Gane and Computermusic is still a very great thing for me and I was looking for some remixes I could play in the great game Audiosurf for a change as I stumbled upon this great site and… yeah. =)
