About me
I don't need to tell people I like Commodore music..
..I kinda like all retro music, including 80's metal. Kinda weird that I'm nostalgic for things I completely or mostly missed while they were happening. Did own a Commodore, and I was indeed in love with a tune of a game (which I can't find anymore (including it's name)), but other than that it mostly started a few years ago.
Making chiptunes seems to make people more creative somehow..
Oh yeah other musical tastes: metal in all it's variations (mostly obscure 80s metal; or simply metal that wasn't on mtv) and since a while I've been in love with all sorts of electronic music: industrial, (gothic-)electro, drum and bass, (dark) ambient, triphop, breakcore, you name it. Except that I hate house and popmusic.
One of these days I'll finish my industrial electro version of Zoids…in the meantime I can't get voice 1 right, and the overal arrangement is uncreative. :P
Oh yeah, favorite Commodore tunes:
-Zoids (Hubbard)
-Commando (Hubbard)
-Aztec Challenge (Paul Norman) (can someone do a version that captures the eeryness, the atmosphere of the original?)(pwease?)
-Barbarian (Richard Joseph) (darnit, why hasn't anyone done a decent full length version of this one yet? This tune just rawks my socks off; this is the metaltune among SID-tunes😉(not that Matthias Sachal's version isn't nice..it's just too short :P)
-1942 (Mark Cooksey) (I can listen to this tune looped for 24+ levels😉
