Released at Maximum Overdose 10 Demoparty in Lübeck, 28.12. - 30.12.2012.
Original tune was composed by Rob Hubbard for the game Lightforce by Faster Than Light in 1987.

For my version of the tune I used a Roland SPD-11 drum machine and a DSI Prophet '08 PE analog synthesizer.
Arranged in Apple Logic. No additional effects/tools/plugins/VSTis (like compressors or limiters) used to keep the sound as organic as it comes out of the Prophet '08.

I started with my Version of Lightforce in the year 2000, I think. I was never really satisfied with the sounds or the arrangement. When I got the DSI Prophet '08 in 2009, I started with a real analogue version of the tune. IMHO an analog synth version is the only way to live up to expectations for Rob Hubbard's masterpiece.
So, here it is finally.

While being good it doesn't fully reach the energy-level of both - the original and Allister Brimbles "Lightforce 2002" - due to instrument choices. I still like this softer version.

I like the extra synth at 0. 39 I thought it was going to be kinda boring. I do kinda wish your synth was less direct and more smooth though to better mix with the background.

The Instrument choise is a bit to flat for me. Some Sounds seems phasing together? Sounds a bit like a better Midi-file to me. But the arrangements and all in all is a good one for you.

I actualy like this one because of it's simplicity. No big bells and whistles, just pure analog sounds that you can listen to for a long time without ear fatigue.

Hmm, has a nice, warm analog feel to it, but I would've loved to hear it in a more complex arrangement.

It is organic, dynamic and sincere like electronic music was mixed in the '70s and '80s. Some gentle EQs and compressors would enhance it here and there but not as aggressive as peepz do these days. I liked the way it sounds quite much.
