Story

This must be at least my fifth attempt to remix this gem of a song from JCH - my favorite c64 musician - but it has proven very difficult to find a working arrangement which also includes most of the bits from the original.

Made with Ableton Live. There's a whole lot going on but the external synths used are Massive and Massive X.

Just great! And the original as well, is it the whistle after 03:05?
Wonderful. Draws you in and keeps hold. Also, another super smooth mix, that low end is perfectly in check, fantastic work!
Wow, I'm honored and I certainly approve. A few deviations in the solo but it maintains the gist of it and that's what's important.
Very good interpretation of a wonderful song. The remix truly benefits from the brilliant melody line of the original. The solo part sounds ok but could've been a tad better but this is nit-picking.
Thanks for introducing me to this track, you did a good job with it.
Brilliant!

Like diving in an ocean of sounds. Best remix in last 12 months I've ever heard.

First of all, excellent job on the bass, it just cuts through the mix and it sounds fantastic in my headphones! Also, excellent choice on the instrumentation, it all works together very well.

What I am not a fan of in this remix is the overall arrangement - somehow it just doesn't mesh with me, and the impact of the tune is lost on me. Which is hard for me to say, because I really like the original SID. I am also not a big fan of that synthy lead sound, but maybe it'll grow on me.

So, from a technical perspective, it's a really good piece, but I think more could've been done here to increase its emotional impact.
