At moments, absolutely brilliant take on Platoon, but some levels are off here and there. A hard tune to tackle, but I think Mr. Svensson does it very well. Nice vocals, although they feel a bit misplaced, coming in as late as four minutes into the tune.
A nice effort all round, but I'm not sure it feels emotional enough in parts due to the choice of instruments. And the vocals are really not necessary. It's a tough tune to tackle and there's parts of it which are done really well.
Overall a great remix, but the introduction with the speach was a tad too long to make it enjoyable. And the singing in the end was good, but didn't really fit in well with the tune somehow. But otherwise a great version of platoon!
It picks up a lot of steam from about 3 minutes in. I think you should have based the whole tune off of the vocal-part.
Missed this one... Very well done!
Good stuff with various flavours of prog rock and electronica. The second part beats the first. Mixing could be smoother, some things jump out too much. Lyrics didn't meet my taste.
Really enjoyed this - a top remix for me that features all the best Platoon melodies.
Like!
Very nice! I like the non-traditional construction. Some slight distortion on the vocals would have made it perfect for me. ;) (i'm also a sucker for samples, nice nixon speech!)
It's a good idea to have that Nixon sample in the tune, as this man is strongly connected to this war. I like the way this tune conveys the senselessness of the Vietnam war.
Brilliant!

Two remixes for the price of one, I guess. I really like how tunes #1 and #3 got blended together, but at the same time, I also wish they were kept separate, because the second remix is so much better than the first one.

I do like the historically relevant vocals and voice samples, they add an unusual depth to the remix. Even though the lyrics from 4:15 is too blunt and direct for my taste. Subtlety and metaphors would be my preference…

The rhythm guitars stand head and shoulders above the rest.

I like the arrangement, I like how it's produced, I'll surely listen to it many more times.
