Story

Since It's Binary, Baby! has gone off the radar for a while, I decided to release the remixes here on RKO. I will release one track per month in track order from the album. I decided to remaster the tracks. Not sure if they're better sounding or just different sounding, but they've been remastered from my original Renoise mixdowns.

Glider Rider was a big hit with my sisters' friends. This was played at a lot of parties back in the 00s. Listening to it now, I can understand why. It's pretty damn toe tapping, and the arrangement is interesting, with a lot going on every second of the way.

I wouldn't say I'm a happy hardcore fan, but I do enjoy a bit of 90s Dune and the odd Blümchen track.

Once again, that Akai DC Vocoder plugin came to good use!

Lyrics:

As we sail across the sky

No longer visible to the eye

We're free from reality

We are the ones you cannot see

Keep on gaining altitude

Higher and higher me and you

Until the Earth is a bright blue dot

Until each other is all we've got

Glider Rider in the sky

Take me with you for a while

Life is so hard to live down here

Take me with you way up there

Makes me feel good!
A really good track all in all. The lyrics really lifts this remix!
Only two comments in 6 years for this awesome track? Are you ^&* kidding me?
Glider Rider in the Sky... Awesome
Every bit as fresh as when it was first released on Makkes "It's binary, baby! " album back in 2005.
A modern classic!
Still a fav of mine. Vocoder usally not my scene, but this works a treat, and for the time was great.... STILL IS!
There is simply no better version of this track!

Another Makke classic from days of yore, yet, it sounds as good today as it did 15+ years ago. (Funny how these bits and bytes don't fade with age like my cassette tapes do…) And that vocoder voice totally became Makke's signature. 😊 All coupled with lyrics that is spot on.
