Oxx - Grand Prix Circuit Title
710. in all-time charts
I started remixing one of my favorite sids with a few goals in mind;
- Clarity
- A managed sub bass (everything else was cut out / ducked in the frequency range up to 60 Hz )
- Experimenting with the use of reference tracks
- Experimenting with multi band compression
I'm happy with the results of 1, 3 and 4 but not sure about 2. Any feedback would be great. The kick for example may be lacking in depth because of this.
The arrangement was more or less ready at the beginning of this month (October 2022) and the rest of the days were spent on mixing, EQ'ing and mastering.
Then I realized that I started EQ'ing the traits of people around me in my dreams. That's when I decided to surrender, yesterday.
I hope you enjoy my work.

Clarity: Mission accomplished.
But your are right Oxx! There's a lack of bass foundation. So the kick and the bass sound a bit dull. Maybe too much low cut filter. Or try a different kick drum and/or bass with more punch.
But overall it's a matter of taste if you want more depth and warmth.
The lead synth starting at 0:44 is really sounding great. Sharp and clear. The same at 0:57 2nd synth.
The snare and claps fitting very good.
I like your track very much.
