Story

I remember Cybernoid II on the Amiga, quite well. I was excited at the time because of seeing & hearing the C64 version and, let's be honest, the Amiga IS a superior platform to the C64. So, my expectations were high both graphically & musically. Well… It was kind of a 'poor relation', despite the 16-bit advantage. The graphics were a little prettier but the gameplay was criticised heavily. And the music was the biggest disappointment. In the one, other area where the Amiga should have 'trounced' the C64, it failed miserably. Here's a re-imagining of that title-music, prog-rock style. There are parts in here from my own, 70's & 80's music influences. Hammond organ, Fender Rhodes & early synth-based rock. A bit of 'syrup' on the sax… and it all gets a touch 'Santana' towards the latter stages. I hope you like the vibe…

Fantastic interpretation.
Very nice take on a classic!
Cybernoid is one of those tunes where you think you've heard every possible way to tackle the track. Trust me, you haven't lived until you've heard this version.
This is a great one with a perfect "live" character!
Absolutely crazy sounds. I like the Hamond keyboard and guitar work.
The remix master is back and on blazing form with a Jeroen Tel classic.. I just love the twiddly electric piano bits.
Good idea realised with skill, giving an organic feel. Not for the rhyme, I'm having a good time.
I'm sorry for me it's nothing special it doesn't move me I don't like it
Great Latin Rock feel towards the end and I love the moody saxophone As a C64 remix, this takes Jeroen's original to a new place and it boots the crap out of the pale imitation that ended up as the Amiga version. This rocks!
1st thought.. Not another Cybernoid. 2nd thought oooh, give me more cybernoid! Brilliant.
I found the mixing a little muddy, but I'm not going to let that lower my vote. Brilliant idea and execution. The muddy sound actually adds to the live feel. Hats off, Mr. Clarke!
It takes a lot of effort to make something sound different to all those that have come before it whilst remaining like the original tune. This is one of those remixes. Quite possibly the best version of this tune to date.
Skillfully done for sure, love the small nuances and organic feel of the whole mix
Fantastic, very slick and a cool take on this classic.
Awesome Remix!
The Sax in this really speaks to me.. Hits the soul my man.
Mr. Clarke, you never cease to amaze me!
Oof, this some good shiii.. One guy didn't like the vibe.
Not my cup of tea.. Sorry.
Good Job!
Nice approach, but the sound quality is terrible.
OK - so anything by Peter is usually an auto-red for me, but I am less sold on this. Could be Cybernoid-fatigue!
Authentic 80s rock band sound
Love the guitar and sax working together!
Absolutely spot-on funky 70s disco/motown style remix! Every time I listen to it, I discover something new in it. And that sparkling windchime at the very end - cherry on top. Superb!

Ladies and Gentlemen - this is as close to perfection as one can get with a remix. The superb skills of Peter's talent are on full display here: the arrangement is impeccable, the instrumentation is spot-on for a prog-rock styled remix, and it sure sounds like most of it is recorded live playing. And it even adds extras: like the wonderful riffs on the guitars and on the electric organ, not to mention the superb counter-melody on the sax in the later parts. Wow, just WOW! Bravo, Peter!

Alright, I'm with LaLa on this one. It's technically brilliant and the arrangement is just superb. If there was something higher than a red smiley, I'd award it to this remix. This is a real musician and composer at work.

Mr Clarke, I thought it would be difficult for you to match your most recent, ROTY-winning remix. So, you've come at us from a different angle. This is a brilliant new remix. Giving this tune the Prog-rock treatment is inspired. Technically, it's tight and the riffs, licks & flourishes lift it beyond the title of remix. There's so much original creation here but I guess that's what an old-school, game-music composer can do. Outstanding!

The live music sound is awesome. A very accurate recreation with lots of soul included.
