Cybernoid II (Like a Dream) - arranged by Mario BarbieratoReview by Steve Foster, 15/11/2022 Amazing sound. Drums are a little quiet but amazing arrangement. Keep up the good work. Well done! |

Stormlord - arranged by Reyn OuwehandReview by slaygon, 15/11/2022 The weight and timing of each keystroke reveals the emotion that went into this. The highs and lows are perfectly emphasized here. The rolls in-between tell their own story in a way, too.Generally, I do not like piano-only pieces because it is so darn difficult to get emotion out of the instrument, and it requires someone of Reyn's caliber to coax every bit of emotion out of it, which he does here. Masterclass. A great send-off for a fallen scener. Rest in peace Johannes! |

Zynaps (Vaggelis saved me) - arranged by SlaygonReview by ALPA, 14/11/2022 I really like this one! Sent me back in time and gave me that boyroom feel. Playing a cool new game and dreaming of one day being able to make music. Fuel for what was to be, and still is, the best thing ever; To make music inspired by what pixels, chip sounds and code could accomplish together. Nicely done! |

Last Ninja (Shanghai Blues) - arranged by 0supereg0Review by LaLa, 10/11/2022 Before I get into my nitpicking, let me just say that I absolutely love the free-flowing, stream-of-consciousness semi-improvisational jam session style of this very creative arrangement! But. 😄 The guitar that comes in at 0:38 - it sticks out like a sore thumb. Sounds like it has different reverb applied to it than the rest of the tracks, and thus it sounds out of place mixing-wise. (This applies for the rest of the remix where the same guitar can be heard.) I am not a fan of that sudden change at 3:11. Three minutes into it this tune kinda puts me in a nice trance as I go with the flow of the music and my mind starts to float away, then BAM! comes this. Kinda jarring. As I said: this is nitpicking. 😁 Because otherwise this piece demonstrates a high level of creativeness, which I really respect. |

Sweet - arranged by Reyn OuwehandReview by Waz, 09/11/2022 What a heartfelt and emotional piece this is. It has all the feeling of the original intact and is such a lovely tribute to the sadly missed Johannes Bjerregaard. It's haunting, it's dark and yet powerfully melodic at the same time with so much emotion. It's hard to describe, but there's just so many wonderful moments to this remix. |

Sweet - arranged by Reyn OuwehandReview by sunseeker2k5, 08/11/2022 Goosebumps while watching the YT live video. Great performance from a legend, thank you.f or sharing your tribute to Johannes. |

Flimbos Quest (Pearly Gates mix) - arranged by Sir_NutSReview by hellfirehound, 08/11/2022 God I love this tune, it's expertly remixed and sounds fab. Even better than the real tune |

Stormlord (Senecas Marble Pack Edit) - arranged by N-JOYReview by LaLa, 05/11/2022 18 years later this is still a fantastic remix. And thanks for the English translation - now I know what the Italian lyrics mean!It is rather poignant to listen to it again on the same day I learned of Johannes' passing… A wonderful, wonderful piece of music that goes a long way to easy my pain tonight. |

Hero Quest Title - Piano (Dream Version) - arranged by PTYReview by kgeisel, 01/11/2022 It isn't easy creating a sparse remix, but this one is very nice. Lots of space, but still very fulfilling. |

Spike In Transylvania (Tune 2) - arranged by DJs. DoMoDoReview by Ahriakin, 30/10/2022 I'd agree that the 2nd half is the better. The overall mix I think has some phase issues and sounds like maybe a stereoiser plugin was overused across the mix with no regard for how doing that with Bass especially might muddy things up. In the 2nd half this is still present and with that arrangement works better. If so some automation of that effect would help tremendously before maybe ditching it altogether and going back to the mix for width (where application per track might achieve a much cleaner and impactful result). |

Terra Cresta Remix - arranged by dEViLOCkReview by LaLa, 30/10/2022 First, you need a better orchestral sound library, me thinks. Second, even though I think it was a good idea to mix strings and synths, somehow they just don't mesh together well in this arrangement. I like where you're going with this, but I don't think you're there with this remix, yet. |

Rambo Loader (2nd attempt mix) - arranged by Johan AnderssonReview by Dungbeetle223, 26/10/2022 Very nice work. Has quite a 1970s vibe to it. Just the ending feels a bit unfinished to me, but it does not matter much at all. |
|
Comic Bakery Live Performance - arranged by Tony Fluke73 WirenReview by LaLa, 25/10/2022 I really like the reggae groove here, but I think the lead instruments don't make it justice, they sound too flat and artificial to me, void of any articulation that would make them come alive (other than the vibrato on the trumpet). |

Grand Prix Circuit Title - arranged by OxxReview by Marcus, 24/10/2022 Great track!Clarity: Mission accomplished. But your are right Oxx! There's a lack of bass foundation. So the kick and the bass sound a bit dull. Maybe too much low cut filter. Or try a different kick drum and/or bass with more punch. But overall it's a matter of taste if you want more depth and warmth. The lead synth starting at 0:44 is really sounding great. Sharp and clear. The same at 0:57 2nd synth. The snare and claps fitting very good. I like your track very much. |

Katapillar Eliminator (Ice Age mix) - arranged by Tim ForsythReview by LaLa, 24/10/2022 It has a certain oldsk00l feeling to it, and I don't mean just the melodies - the instrumentation, the arrangement all reminds me of 90s tracker music for some reason. I really enjoy this |

Chordian - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 24/10/2022 First of all, excellent job on the bass, it just cuts through the mix and it sounds fantastic in my headphones! Also, excellent choice on the instrumentation, it all works together very well. What I am not a fan of in this remix is the overall arrangement - somehow it just doesn't mesh with me, and the impact of the tune is lost on me. Which is hard for me to say, because I really like the original SID. I am also not a big fan of that synthy lead sound, but maybe it'll grow on me. So, from a technical perspective, it's a really good piece, but I think more could've been done here to increase its emotional impact. |

ACE 2 (Danger Zone Edit) - arranged by Dr FutureReview by DMC, 23/10/2022 Totally awesome track no doubt about it. But one thing bugs me when listening to the first few notes of the track: The sound of that bass is waaaay too soft. The original sound (they used Yamaha DX7 factory rom bank #3 - preset 12E-Bass 1on the original track) really kicked ass and should've been used here to give the track the necassary bite. But this is just nitpicking and a matter of taste because the whole track is just plain awesome - starting form your first idea to the final product. Had great fun listening to it and excatly that's what matters. 😊 |

ACE 2 (Danger Zone Edit) - arranged by Dr FutureReview by craigg, 22/10/2022 I’ve always felt quite a few C64 SIDs could be full pop songs (or dance numbers), rather than instrumental rearrangements. The trick is in finding the tracks with the most suitable riffs and reworking them in a manner that makes sense. This is an excellent reimagining of a Hubbard track that hits all the right notes. Top stuff. |

ACE 2 (Danger Zone Edit) - arranged by Dr FutureReview by monty, 22/10/2022 Totally not my style but I love it! IMHO the best DRF remix ever, at least production-wise. I can see almost no weaknesses, could have been taken right from the Best-of-the-80s radio station. Great embedding of the vocals (you get used to the lyrics after a few listens) and an insanely slick guitar solo that's not only there to show-off but perfectly fits and enhances the track's energy (although being a quite free interpretation of the original sequence). |

Lonely Heart - arranged by BeeZerkReview by Aelmen, 21/10/2022 The original song was created late on a cold winter's night. No one to talk to and no one to share your thoughts with. I was in love with a girl but too shy to tell her about it. So this song lyric catch the feeling of a lonely heart as I can recall it.Thank you BeeZerk! |

ACE 2 (Danger Zone Edit) - arranged by Dr FutureReview by LaLa, 21/10/2022 Oh, wow, a near-perfect pastiche ofDanger Zonefrom Top Gun laid over the melody and chord structure of Ace 2! Complete with syrupy lyrics! And that guitar solo!… If I may, the only gripe I have here is that the flow of the lyrics doesn't always match the rhythm of the tune ( highway into to danger, highway into hell, it's your job and you're the man, this is why we're here baby and let's gooo, let's fly for glory, etc.) - it feels clunky and unnatural in those spots. (For example, I don't think a native English speaker would ever sing glorywith a short oand a long y.) |
|
Grand Prix Circuit Title - arranged by OxxReview by LaLa, 21/10/2022 I really dig this. This would be a really good dancey version of this tune, but it's marred by a mix that sounds a bit too thin. As others have mentioned, probably due to the lack of low end. Otherwise, the arrangement gets a lot of things right and manages to breathe new life into this classic tune. |

Beroot Olejuuri (Your still my number one) - arranged by Stello DoussisReview by marzl, 18/10/2022 Such a beautyful and professional setup. I love it right from the start to the end. |

Commando (The Train Back From Birmingham Remix) - arranged by WobblerReview by marzl, 18/10/2022 Very nice blend of old and new instruments. A tiny bit too long for my taste though. |

Mikie'ish, ELP'ish, and Live'ish - arranged by Karl R PettersenReview by LaLa, 18/10/2022 (19 years later) This remix gets so many things right, and some not quite. The guitar in the intro is too obviously a pre-programmed synth (nothing wrong with any of that, it's just too obvious). For a remix that pretends to be live, it needs to sound more authentic. Then the bass sounds off, too. And the electric piano. Then the whiney lead towards the end sounds out of place, to… However, I really, really like that the arrangement nails so many nuances of the original! All the little things that make it sound so jazzy are in here, too. Considering the age of this remix it held up very well, but it would definitely benefit from an instrumentation upgrade (or by having this arrangement played by actual human performers). |
|
Zynaps (Vaggelis saved me) - arranged by SlaygonReview by LaLa, 16/10/2022 Yeah, totally agree with the subtitle - were it not for Vaggelis' guitar shredding, I would've rated this tune a grey at max. NAAAH! Just kidding! 😁 Great collab all around! |
|
Ghost 'n Goblins - Orchestra Cover - arranged by NordischsoundReview by TheTune, 15/10/2022 Great orchestral selection of instruments. A little more dynamics in the instruments played would have been nice. But otherwise a very great soundtrack that I really enjoy listening to. |

Is That All (Timeless Is More) - arranged by WobblerReview by Shargo, 13/10/2022 Obviously electronic sounds that almost makes the speaker warp into another dimension combined with traditional blipp - I love it! |
