Wizball Highscore (sid-cover) - arranged by Kent WalldénReview by eliot, 20/03/2003 It's defintifly a remix even when titled ascover😊 The drums kicks my head using my headphones… It's quite nice done, nothing special, but not a kicking tune I will listen more often. |

Lightforce (Power Remix) - arranged by Markus HollerReview by eliot, 20/03/2003 This is Markus second remix and nice done. 😊 The tune has some sad touch… but anyone shall interpret the original in her/his way. Thesssh-fx are much too loud especially starting at 1:48 and 2:43 and also the background-noise (especially on the end) is quite interfering. This tune is hard to vote because it's on the border between good and very good. To be on the border is still good, so please pardon me 😊 |

International Karate (Tasty Dance Mix) - arranged by YziReview by eliot, 20/03/2003 Yzi shows up new into the arranger list 😊He/She does a nice work, for my taste a bit too close to the originial and a lack of own inspiration. |

Max Headroom (Orbital 3241 Elevator Mix) - arranged by DHSReview by immacolata, 17/03/2003 This Max Headroom remix seems to mix several tunes from the original game, and does a good job of it. Remixer has used some kind of lead instrument that sounds very synthy and does the job good. First part is more easy going, it is the elevator music if I am not mistaken. Goes around for about 2:22 when the tune shifts into another. It's a very synthy remix, and I think all instruments have been replaced, and with great skill. One of my favourites. |

Hypa-ball (Low kick remix) - arranged by DjLizardReview by immacolata, 17/03/2003 As remixes go, this does a poor impression. It sounds as if the remixer lets the most of the original tune do the work for him, just adding a drum beat. Around 1:24 he really gets to work though, by making some kind of interlude on the song's theme, and at 2:16 we're back again to the first part. I dig the original sound track so much that I find myself listening to this track a lot. But alas for the wrong reasons. Hypaball is not easy to dance with I guess, and that is why the original tune steals so much of the song's duration. Merits for trying and not burning it. |

Flight Path 737 - arranged by Tim ForsythReview by immacolata, 17/03/2003 This rate up among the best remixes I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. The original game sound track wasn't something you paid that much attention to due to it being so short and if I remember correctly, only present at the start. Here it has been turned into 5:13 of slowly building up with a rich very 80s sounding vibration bass synth or something, leading up to a nice peak at 2:01 where the Piano enters the song and gives the whole thing a sense of completion. This song goes beyond mere remix into a great piece on it's own worth listening to even if you haven't a clue to what the game was about. But I don't remember Flight Path 737 sounding _THIS_ good! |

Beroot Olejuuri - arranged by Eric DelosReview by Tas, 16/03/2003 Guitar tracks certainly are becoming more popular at the moment and with some success i may add. This track is rather shallow in nature however and suddenly stops abruptly leaving you feeling that the track is unfinished. The track last for just 1:15 mins which also adds to the feeling that this should never have been uploaded in its current state. Whats there is reasonable but whats the point you are never gonna be enthrauled by a track that isn't finished and sounds very aplha/beta in nature. The overall vote reflects this. |

Star Lifter - arranged by MaindrianReview by Tas, 16/03/2003 Another guitar piece from maindrian here. While the remix has some good ideas and it's implemented quite well the overall feel isn't quite there.it's simply one of those tunes thats good without being sensational. though the tunes energy does make it's mark somewhat. A good effort, but it lacks a little in the overall sound picture department. |

Times of Lore (Retro Remix) - arranged by MaindrianReview by Tas, 16/03/2003 Oh! i really like this, it's a novel approach to a remix. While there are obvious floors to this remix in the production department, and with that little more knowledge or effort in this area we'd have a stunning piece of work. The piece is what could be closely compaired to early 70's Mike Oldfield. Infact i wonder if Maindrain actually took inspiration from Mikes early work for this remix. I'm not saying this because of the guitar playing, but because of some very distinct rifts and styles what could be compaired to Oldfield himself. I like this raw sound alot, the unapologetic nature of it's unpolished feel just adds to what the piece is all about. I doubt many will agree with my review as the style is very much an aquired taste. But at least for me i regard the remix very highly. |

Wizball Highscore (sid-cover) - arranged by Kent WalldénReview by Tas, 16/03/2003 This remix is very faithful to the original, i wouldn't actually call this a remix or even a cover, it's more of an enhancement to the sid with it being so very much like the original in sound.Trace here has really just given the original work a smoother and more harmonious feel and has faithfully replicated the sounds and instruments of the original. The tune is not a mind blower, but it's one of those tunes that feels right. nice work trace. |

Wizball Highscore (sid-cover) - arranged by Kent WalldénReview by beldin, 15/03/2003 Compared with previous remixes of the Wizball high-score theme, I think this is a better one. As the sub-title might suggest already, this arrangement is based on SID-like sounds (except for drums and percussions, of course, but including arpeggio in the background) and also is a direct cover-version. The chosen instrumentation is pretty obvious and well-balanced and doesn't attempt on using any experimental and questionable instruments. I don't think I have tried hard to find any flaws. The remix just works fine the way it was set up. Thumbs up. |

Armageddon Man (Vocal Jazz feat. Karin Öjehagen) - arranged by MahoneyReview by merman, 12/03/2003 This is a very fine remix of a Whittaker classic. Loved the tune, got bored with the game. This remix reminds me of the freeform jazz you get at the end of Metal Gear Solid 2 on PS2 - and that shows how good the production is! There was a chill down my spine the first time I heard the voice… |

We'll never be apart (Commando Highscore) - arranged by N-JOYReview by immacolata, 12/03/2003 Instrumental part of the Remix music is okay, but the singing is not. There's something odd with that voice, it kind of ruins it all for my listening. I guess I am an aberration. |

Delta (Live) - arranged by Noviello PippoReview by eliot, 11/03/2003 After Mr. Pippos great Delta spanish guitar Remix, I look forward for this download, but was a lot disapointed. It's an electronic quite dance remix and I have no idea how it was recorded… maybe with a microphone 20m away… Also he played some notes completly wrong 😒 Maybe, next time think about uploading such stuff. |
Delta (Spanish Guitar - Final mix) - arranged by Noviello PippoReview by eliot, 11/03/2003 The final remix of Mr. Pippo Delta, is really outstanding. The only negative is the volume of the trumpet, it's a bit too loud and stereo-panorama is not extended as it could be. |
Delta (Spanish guitar) - arranged by Noviello PippoReview by eliot, 11/03/2003 Here we have an outstanding peace of music. This version is the shortpreviewof the Final Mix- so grab the longer one 😊 |
VoidNoid - arranged by traumaReview by eliot, 11/03/2003 A promising, powerful beginning, nice fades/crosses from/of Arkanoid Title to/and The Last V8. My only wish is an extended version of about 3:50 😃 And yes, next time enter valueable infos into the MP3-tag. 😒 thanx. |
Hypa-ball - arranged by DjLizard offlineReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 LaLa: you are not the only one believing SID-tunes have souls 😊 But no, the soul went not away by this mix, because I always thought that is what I missed on the original tune. I love it 😃 |
Rambo and Bombo on Impossible Mission (unplugged) - arranged by MahoneyReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 Too strange for me but not bad at all 😊 LaLa wroteIt is one of those crazy remixes that is either the work of a genious or a madman. I know Mahoney is a genious but this tune goes to the mad side. |
Task III (Hum along with the task) - arranged by Trace & MahoneyReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 I do not agree with Beldin's 😒 vote nor LaLa's statement that this tune can only remix worse. Taste is different for everyone. But from my view of sight, this work is outstanding. Task III is really a task to remix and it gets the flair of the original SID, even with some strange FX (the original SID is strange itself 😊). Great Work. |
M.U.L.E. (Aerobics in the jungle mix) - arranged by MahoneyReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 LaLa: we rate it so high, because it's great, really outstanding. Of course not everyone like this style - but for me it's one of the best remixes ever 😊 I wish more arrangers would do such salads, even when they are done only for me 😊 |
Comic Bakery (Larger than Pop Boyband mix) - arranged by PRESS PLAY ON TAPEReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 There are so many reviews now, I can just say: This remix kicks ass. And if you have not seen the video, you missed a lot 😊 |
Armageddon Man (Vocal Jazz feat. Karin Öjehagen) - arranged by MahoneyReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 The first time I listend to it, I thoughtWOW- one of the best remixes ever. There are no words they can express how good it is. |
Firelord - Symphonic - arranged by Glyn R BrownReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 The orchestral attempt was a really good idea, but the samples do not reflect a real orchester, the most instruments sound too flat. |
Space Harrier (Cooksley vs Bach Mix) - arranged by Karl R PettersenReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 Why upload an abandoned, buggy work? This makes no sense, it seems the arranger does not like it at all. The strange lead starting at 1:11 is one of the bugs (at least the choosen instrument). Any one remember the decent pseudo-drums in the original SID? Next time Karl, complete the work or trash it. But at least I like the end 😊 |
Jinks Rebound - arranged by Krister NielsenReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 It seems that many of the arrangers run out of ideas. To replace the drums and copy the leads from the original is no artistic improvement. My voting always reflects the Artistic Impression and there is less I can vote for - even when it's quite ok to listen. |
C64 Turrican 2 Summer Remix - arranged by Markus SieboldReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 I was not a fan of the originial SID and this version does not kick. It's quite ok, but very much repeations, no variations, lead is more in background than leading… quite boring for me, a tune just downloaded, voted and forgotten. |
Last Ninja Remix (A Ninja By Night Remix) - arranged by Eric DelosReview by eliot, 10/03/2003 I need to load the original SID to believe, it has anything to do with Reyn's Last Ninja, indeed I found something… but it can not count as remix. As LaLa already mentionend.. no beginning, no end, especially a abrupt end (does not even loop correctly)… really boring. |
X-Out - arranged by Rafael Dyll offlineReview by wizzball, 10/03/2003 The orchestra sounds good. I like how it starts, nice and peacfull and then getting violent.. 😊.. the cymbals are not too heavy though and again cool soundeffects. Picked a nice one out to remix. |
Dan Dare 3 - arranged by Rafael Dyll offlineReview by wizzball, 10/03/2003 Well I'm not an expert in music but I can say U Hit the sounds really well. The Intro is really cool, but the fade in at the beginning sounds a bit to quick. The End fAde sounds much better. All in one stil a great job. I really enjoyed listening to this one. |
