Warhawk - Anthrol Mix - arranged by AnthrolReview by xazzo, 23/11/2024 I'd call this an overall orange smily since it truly was refreshing to listen to and actually made me laugh with enjoyment. Good job Anthrol! It's an amusing creative remix with interesting variations in sound. Mixing could be better yes, there's always room for improvements but it's not a bad remix in any way. |

Paperboy - arranged by LuodeReview by DMC, 20/11/2024 First of all, I think it's completely inappropriate to criticize a newcomer for his very first remix in this way, especially since the AI accusations don't seem to be true at all. People can have different opinions about music styles and tastes, but someone has made the effort to remix a song, so this should be recognized and appreciated in the first place! I find your remix quite interesting and in a way it suits my taste too. Although I wouldn't have immediately recognized it as a Paperboy remix if it hadn't been named that! 😉 The quality of the mixing and mastering could be improved. I think the arrangement is pretty good. You're on the right track. I definitely think there's enough potential here for more exciting and good sounding remixes and I would like to encourage you to keep at it and make more remixes for us to enjoy! |

Zak McKracken (Mindbend This) - arranged by Dr Doom & Komatr:ohnReview by knotpot, 16/11/2024 And I love it. A complete new arrangement, and itt's very gutsy to remove the main theme of the song to a wavery float in the background. But they pull it off. A shame they stopped so early. |

Paperboy - arranged by LuodeReview by xazzo, 13/11/2024 Newcomer or not, I have every right to question the musical authenticity of someone who appears out of nowhere on youtube and soundcloud to upload three different musics of similar length and mixing quality on the same day and uses a clearly AI generated image as their logo. Ableton? No. I don't buy it. There are various ways that AI generated material can be blended with non AI material and this remix both sounds and feels incredibly lifelsss to me, especially if compared to the other two songs made by this person. You want to take sounding like a soulless AI a compliment? Ehhhhhhhhhh okay! Whatever. This is just my honest opinion. I'm entitled to it, and you're free to disagree. |

Early Summer - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Divus, 05/11/2024 One of the best remixes, an elegant combination of female vocals, octaves and guitars. A school example of what a remix from the depths of the human soul should look like. |

Treasure Island Dizzy (I Can Fly Remix) - arranged by Gareth WoodReview by onlineamiga, 23/10/2024 My favourite Dizzy game, favourite Dizzy soundtrack, and I am just loving this remix. Great synths, great vibe. BUT.. the drums, they're not working for it. It's a good beat, and then its like theres extra drum beats that dont fit, sounds like its skipping and doesnt fit, and ruins the flow of the tune. If that can be fixed, this would be an amazing 5 star remix! |

Spaceballs - State Of The Art (No Corruption Mix) - arranged by Gareth WoodReview by lee.oades, 08/10/2024 Captures all of the character of the original but for modern ears. Love it. Beautifully done. Big time nostalgia too - can still see the dancing girls. |

Lotus 2 (O.Stelzer Remix) - arranged by SolarstrikerReview by Radiarion, 03/10/2024 This takes me back to the good old days. A500, 1mb expansion board, joystick and a great game that was partly down to thhe sound track. Love this remix, great work!!! |

Yie Ar Kung Fu II - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 30/09/2024 This is sooo nice, Eivind! The soft intro with the piano and the strings, then the cello - just wonderful to listen to. And when the choir comes in at the ~2 minute mark with the lead singer - wow, just lovely. I think the string legatos could be better, at times they are almost non-existent, making the strings sound a bit robotic, but that is such a minor technical gripe. What's important here is that this tune is full of emotions - I was actually sad and surprised that it ended so early, somewhat abruptly. Maybe could've used a nice decrescendo outro… Well done, I quite enjoyed this, thanks for sharing it with us! |

Zoids - arranged by AnthrolReview by LaLa, 17/09/2024 Theheavinessof the original comes through nicely with the instrumentation, however, more attention should've been paid to the drums (which are weak). Some pads could've filled the currently empty space of the sound spectrum, too. The overall mix sounds a bit too dry to me, could've used more delay or reverb. |

Aztec Challenge (the Dark Days) [Cinematic 64] - arranged by SlaygonReview by LaLa, 16/09/2024 The original SID ofAztec Challengeis pretty dark by itself - it's even darker here. Not pure evildark, but the slowed down tempo and the raspy, shattering bass would definitely make me run away from this track in a dark alley. A woodwind-dominated break provides some reprieve before we are pulled back into Beelzebub's simmering lava for the conclusion of this track. |

Den Indre Kilde - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Divus, 16/09/2024 A perfect selection of instruments and octaves without too many modern unnecessary transitions. Music as it was 100 years ago. A return to the time of our great-grandparents and great-grandfathers. It can be listened to for days by several generations of listeners . |
|
Den Indre Kilde - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 16/09/2024 Excellent arrangement and full of emotions, especially when considering that Kjell apparently released this the same year he took his own life… But the reason I didn't vote red on this is because the lead instruments are too in-your-face. They need to be softer and gentler in the mix, especially for a deeply moving piece like this. |
|
Chronicles - arranged by Jogeir LiljedahlReview by rnuls, 13/09/2024 Wow, this intro! The rhythm arrives naturally. Little chords feels deliciously soudtracked. Variations always inspired. Well executed. To me a must-have!!! |

Cauldron (witch hunt remix) - arranged by Mario BarbieratoReview by mike_c64, 03/09/2024 Incredible track—absolutely 10 out of 10! I've had it on repeat for hours. The vocals blend perfectly with the music. Fantastic work, and I can't wait to hear more like this! 😊 |

Dutch Breeze Advertisement - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Divus, 02/09/2024 Exceptional sense and talent for the tempo and tonality of the instruments. Only a little bit of female vocals are missing. That's all. |

Caer Aisling - arranged by VandahliaReview by Eivind Sommersten, 30/08/2024 I love this SID!I think you did a good job with the remix. The rythm of the SID is difficult to imitate (I have tried 😅), but I think you managed it quite well. The bridgeat 2:13 is also lovely and true to the original, you've succeeded in recreating a song which is technically difficult and somewhat unorthodox both as a SID and as a piece of music. I wish there was more to the arrangement though - after a very short intro the tune is more or less similar in mood and dynamics throughout. It's not a big problem but I feel there is unused potential here! It also ends a little abrubtly. I have to say I really miss the rolling bass of the original - to me it's an important part of it. Overall I absolutely appreciate the effort - it's obvious that musically you know what you are doing. Also, you have great taste in SIDs! 😉 |
|
Anglia Spirit - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Divus, 19/08/2024 It's a good old school of perfectly chosen instruments and emotional tempo. Good sense of guitar and voice. |

Cybernoid II (Had to Regulate) - arranged by MakkeReview by LaLa, 19/08/2024 Another amazing mashup orin the style ofremix from Makke! As usual, the style and the arrangement is spot-on, and the lyrics is just 👌. I do not know how much time Makke spends on getting the lyrics just right, but not only it pays homage to the original Warren G track, it also ties to the backstory of the C64 game. I am just floored… And then Makke also brings it home with his perfect vocal delivery. Massive respects to a massive talent! |

Freedom (Metal Version) - arranged by Rock & JLDReview by Dr.j Delysid, 19/08/2024 Yet another klilling track from the hot remixers Rock and JDL. love the metal version very much and its so refreshing to hear sid music in the taste of heavy rock with great guitars solo's . nostalgia factor on its best!! thanks guyz and keep rocking!! loove it! |

80s Supremacy - arranged by MakkeReview by Glyn R. Brown, 05/08/2024 Well, It deserves a nice smiley just because it has Makke in the title, Ha! 😉👍… |
|
80s Supremacy - arranged by MakkeReview by LaLa, 03/08/2024 Superb idea - but where is the singing, and the grunts, the ow's, the hoo's, and the hee-hees? Makke, are you okay?😉 I feel that the arrangement in the first minute or so is a bit awkward as you are trying to force Supremacy down the throat of this smooth criminal. But the instrumentation and the style is almost spot-on. Great smashup! |

The remix ofHeavenis a captivating masterpiece that beautifully blends emotional depth with inspiring melodies. Battle Squadron Anastasios RmX - arranged by AnastasiosReview by Cyroth, 17/07/2024 One of the most innovative if not the best remix around! The automation alone going on in this track is league of its own! |
|
BMX Kidz (New Jack Swingish) - arranged by MakkeReview by LaLa, 11/07/2024 Wow, where should I begin? The production is top-notch, it nails that 90s style to the T. The lyrics is sooo clever while it also ties back to the original C64 game. And it's performed flawlessly. This is an amazingly polished remix through and through. |
|
Hybris Interstellar - arranged by Tony Fluke73 WirenReview by Radiarion, 10/07/2024 I loved the original, and this has everything the original was, with Tony`s unique touch. BRILLIENT!!Id love to hear you do the end credits in full from Apidya😉 |

Cooperation Demo (GURO Remix) - arranged by GUROГАГАReview by LaLa, 10/07/2024 The total lack of proper mixing is what kills this remix for me. For example, when at 0:48 the bass floats in, it just overpowers everything else. The instruments sound very dry, too, a bit more reverb would've helped. There's also a total lack of dynamics, every track justshoutsat the same level throughout. |

Lethargic - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 08/07/2024 Sometimes there's a tune that stays with you for days and days, and it doesn't let you go for whatever reason. I've been listening to this one for days now, and it's not letting me go. I don't know why. Maybe because it has the perfect combination of oldsk00l charm and a melancholic theme. And the flute-based break in the middle reminds me of 1970s whodunnit TV series… I can't explain why, but I am captivated by this remix. |
|
Glider Pilot - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Dees Productions, 03/07/2024 Very relaxing remix of a classic SID tune. The soothing atmosphere just makes me glide away! |

RoboCop (Binary Hearts Beating In Time mix) - arranged by Cinnamon Dreams offlineReview by Poke16384, 03/07/2024 I'm assuming, based on Cinnamon Dreams' previous 2 uploads that this song is also 100% AI generated. That changes the rules upon which it should be judged. If all of the creation, arrangement and mix/master is the work of an AI program then the only skill or ability we can attribute to the uploader is their ability to feed a set of parameters to the AI program… and that isn't why Remix64 exists.Best AI Programmerwon't ever be one of the Remixer of the Year awards.. Whether you are a remixer or somebody who simply enjoys listening to remixes, (and I'm both), the attraction of both RKO & Remix64 is hearing the creativity and imagination of real musicians and their interpretation of SID music into their own style, genre & arrangement.. and all of those tasty little bits of ear-candy in a finished remix..? They usually evolve during the creative process.. with new ideas emerging as more things are added to the tune.. AI cannot & does not do that.. On first viewing, xazzo's pukey greens seemed harsh but.. he's actually right! There is no musical technique or artistic skill here.. and the finished tune has no essence of the original to give it nostalgia.. It's just a computer crudely hammering a set of cheesy lyrics into the same chords… |
