Rock & JLD - Electric City

I started working on this remix back in September 2022 after hearing Flex SID version, which blew my mind.
It was an insanely good cover, so I decided to check out the original by Jazzcat.
I loved it and got ideas immediately, kicking off my remix journey.

I completed the full length of the original but was never satisfied with the remix, so I put it aside.
The only thing I was content with was the intro, and I really disliked the lead sound.

I had no intention of ever releasing it. This was back in September 2022.

At the end of October this year, I was chatting with Sami on Discord.
I sent him my remix and asked for his thoughts on whether it was worth finishing and releasing.

Sami liked what he heard, and we immediately started discussing what could be done with the remix.

Since I didn't like the lead, I suggested Sami play those parts with an electric guitar.
Now, the collaboration was a go, and we began sharing our work back and forth.
Sami's guitars worked magic in this remix, elevating it to another level.
Interestingly, the lead sound remained the same as before, but it sounded great with the background guitars.

This remix would have never seen the light of day if it weren't for Sami.
It would have remained stuck in my work folder from 2022. Thank You Sami!

It has been a year since I and JLD released a remix. This time Johan sent me Electric City remix which was still unreleased, because he wasn't fully happy to it.

For me it already sounded very good, but I tried some guitars and it turned out them fit to this song pretty nicely.

It was very nice project again and thank you Johan letting me to join this.

And I must say the original song is also great one.
