I really like this one - nicely chilled out with a nice feel to the drums (even though they are clearly not real!)
Really nice feel to this and just lovely when the drums kick in
I found this kinda boring, actually. It became a bit better when the drums started, but they were extremely repetitive.
Pretty good effort at sounding oriental, although there's not enough instrument variety to really make it stand out. Also, when the drums kick in, they're just not enough and sound a bit repetitive. Needs work, but the idea is there.
I think the drums are quite boring. I expected a groovier beat. Original instrumentation, I'll give you that. And the execution is OK. A bit repetitive, but gets the job done.
Quite uninspired. The instrumentation is basically nice, but quite monotonous, and there is little dynamics. Good mixing though.
It's a bit dull for me really. I wouldn't play it more than once and for that reason it'd be odd to rate it higher.
Uninspired is my feeling as well.
I like the flute sound, but not the drum sound. It´s not "there". And I don´t dig the new harmonics in the "refrain". Otherwise OK.
Quite nice, athough the refrain/bridge/whatever bit in the middle just sounded way wrong. The rest was nice, especially the mellow piano ending (reminded me of the ending of Epic by Faith No More).
The instruments are a bit arse tbh, slightly highpitched earbendingly argh! At times. It doesnt really do anything either, tune doesnt go anywere, drums are boring. Not the worst though but definitely no were near best either.
Quite boring...
Just love this..
Distuned?? Or is it my ears?
Like it very much, soft nostalgic
Not great, not bad
The beginning is average, but at 2:12 it starts being totally odd, in a way that was probably not intended. Guitar at 3:00 sounds good, but the 2:12 issue disqualifies the whole tune for me.
Not quite sure about this one. It was okish before the drums started. They felt totally bad. Then the guitars pulled the song up from the dirt. Remove the earliest drums, and it's one higher mark from me.
C'mon... The remix is good.

Overall rating

Warning upfront: my favorite Remix64 track is Tonka's version of this same song. I'm also a big fan of the original SID. That puts the bar way up… well up there, quite high. Not all too fair perhaps, but c'est la vie.

This arrangement isn't bad. But I wouldn't wanna call it great either. So, it's average, hence the rating. Except nostalgia, cause it's very faithful to the original, that is a plus. What could wk-one do to make this better and rise above average?
Let's start off at the first 2 minutes: they're in desperate need of… shape. Shape? Shape. It's too plain right now, and it doesn't really have… well, shape. Or a face. You pick, it's all just terminology: download and listen to the song and it becomes clear in about 2 minutes what I'm trying to say. Fortunately, after these 2 minutes (you know what, it's actually 2:12, but that's for nitpickers) the song starts to show its true face ever so slightly, with drums and just generally more sound, more flair. Unfortunately it's still not convincing enough to blow you away or anything.

The way I see it, this is a fine foundation, but you have to build the house on top or you still end up without a roof over your head. If this is a first attempt, it's surely not bad at all. Just add some bells 'n whistles.
